Teaching

With over ten years of teaching experience, I am passionate about helping students find freedom and joy in singing! I offer private voice lessons out of my studio in Kensington, MD, welcoming students from across the city — including Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Rockville, Silver Spring, and the greater Washington, D.C. metro area.

In addition to my doctoral studies in pedagogy at New England Conservatory, I have completed all levels of the LoVetri Institute for Somatic Voicework, as well as several courses through Shenandoah University’s CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute. I strive to meet students where they are, and I teach in a variety of styles, catering my approach to the individual needs of my students while focusing on building healthy, functional technique.

My teaching experience is diverse and extensive, as I have work with students at junior high, high school, collegiate, and adult levels. In addition to my private studio, I have taught at Roberts Wesleyan Community Music School and Finger Lakes Community College in the Rochester, NY area, and at the New School of Music and New England Conservatory Voice for Non-Majors program in Boston. I am currently an Adjunct Professor of Voice at George Mason University, and I also teach private voice to choristers of the Washington National Cathedral.

Whether you are an adult who has always wanted to feel more confident at karaoke or in your local choir, or you are a high school student preparing for college auditions, I would love to help you explore and grow your sound!
